For those who are interested I am starting a log of my hunt for a Typhoon.  So far I haven't had a whole lot of success.  Lots of people have a crazy sentimental value on the car.  Well I am going by blue book.  That's it.  I am not bending over backwards to get one yet but I suppose that day will come if I don't get one in a reasonable amount of time.  I have decided to buy a Typhoon for 2 reasons.  1.  I want a fast car.  2. I am married and well lets face it.  It has to be a family car.

The best link for Syclone and Typhoon stuff I have found is www.syty.org.  If your interested please check out the site.  It is very helpful for Finding one as well as helping with tech specs and upgrade info.  And yes I stole my graphics from them.  You know what they say.  Plagiarism is the best form of flattery.

This is the truck I want and the color I want it.  Too bad they only made 50 of them.

Here is some pictures of a Typhoon like the one I looked at first.  He wants 10k for his.  (Junk title/Totaled)

This one is #2 on the list.  He wants 10,500 for his.  (With 112k miles)

Number 3.  The latest one is in Detroit.  I have no pictures of the truck however it only has 21542 miles on it.  They only want 10,550.  This is the one!  .......I hope.  It's virtually identical to the one above just WAY less miles.  We shall see.  I am on the edge of my seat.  Aren't you?

Alright all.  The Ty is here at Gric now.  It needs to have the bumper repaired.  No biggie.  The previous owner gave me some money off the truck to have it fixed.  I am taking it to GM and having it done.  I think I will have the oil changed, filters replaced, and a tune up.  I have to admit.  It's a beautiful truck.  There will be pics here and on www.needboost.com.  Oh yeah.  And when they said "Ferrari Quashing power" in Road&Track they were right.

FYI needboost.com is down for an undetermined time.

Cheer.  The search is over.  I found my Ty.  It is a really rare one in the fact that it has 2 factory options you couldn't get on it.  It has a factory sunroof which is very nice.  And it's the only Typhoon on the street with 4 wheel disc brakes.  When I test drove it I smoked a 90 or so 5.0 litre Mustang GT.  He did not look happy as a GMC truck pulled on him as badly as I did.  I am not sure but I think just for a second he was thinking of buying a GMC truck.  Haha.  It's awesome.  1 owner.  Regular dealer maintenance.  Super clean inside.  Minor bumper work needed but most of all.  Driven by a 40 yr old executive and not beaten at all.  God I love this truck.
